Instructions for locating the serial number on a range of the data collectors supported by SurvCE 


Carlson Explorer II, Carlson Explorer, JettCE, Carlson Explorer 600+

Look on the back underneath the barcode. You will see ‘S/N:’.

On Explorer 600+ you may need to remove the rover radio (if it is in the pack in the back) and look underneath the barcode.



Topcon FC-100:

Turn the data collector so that you are looking at the bottom of the device. You will see a 6-digit number imprinted into the plastic. That is the serial number.


Topcon FC-200:


On the back of the FC-200 you will see a green label. Above the text “Made In Japan”, there is a 6-digit number/letter combination. That is the serial number.



Topcon FC-1000, FC-2000:

Turn the data collector so that you are looking at the bottom of the device. You will see a 6-digit number/letter combination. That is the serial number.



Panasonic data collector:


On the back you will see two barcodes. Above the top barcode is a number/letter combination. That is the serial number.



Pocket PC 2003:

On the back you will see a silver button for the battery. Pry the battery out of the holder and you will see the serial number.


DAP, DAPX, DAP P, DAP PX:

On the back of the data collector you will see a hand-strap. Underneath the hand-strap there is a barcode. Underneath the barcode is a number. That is where you will find your serial number.

The following are specific instructions for the data collectors requiring more than a screenshot to locate the serial number information.

Archer

Start at desktop.

Then click the Start icon.

Click on Settings.

Click on System on the bottom of the screen.

Click on System Config and you will see the serial number.


AllegroCE

First, go to the main screen.

Then, go to the Start icon at the bottom left of the screen.

Now click on Settings.

Click Control Panel.

Then click System.

Click the Version tab.


AllegroCX and the Allegro DNET

First, get into the main screen.

Then, go to the Start icon at the bottom left of the screen.

Click on the Settings tab.

Hit Control Panel.

Then click System.

Finally, click on Version and you will see the number listed.




Recon

First, you should be at desktop.

Then click the Start icon.

Click on Settings.

Click on System on the bottom of the screen.

Then click on System Config:




Trimble TSC2 and the Ranger Mobile 5

Start off at the main screen.

Then click Start.

Then click Settings.

Then click on System on the bottom of the screen.

Click on System Information.

Now, click on Info.
