There is an Attached Word document at the bottom of the file with a
Detailed workflow on using a Sokkia GSR2700ISX GPS receiver with a
Bluetooth Cellphone that is running Mobile NTRIP.
Here is the text below for a rough workflow for the SurvCE side of
things:
Carlson SurvCE
HARD RESET your data collector so that it is set to factory defaults.
Select EQUIP | GPS Rover.
Select COMMS tab.
Type = Cable
Port = COM6 (Allegro CX), or COMX for whatever the Bluetooth port is on
your specific controller. Leave all other settings default.
Select RTK tab.
Device = Bluetooth Cell
Message Type = Whatever the data format is being used on the reference
network.
You MAY or MAY NOT need to check the box for “Send Rover Position to
Network”. Check with network administrator to see if this is needed.
Press the GREEN CHECK mark to begin the connection.
You should see the Bluetooth browser window appear and the GSR2700 ISX
should be listed. Chose this and continue.
You will be presented with TWO choices for the ISX’s Bluetooth profile.
CHOOSE XCOM3 here and proceed.
The data collector should begin it’s connection with the GSR2700 ISX
receiver at this time.
If you have not already begun receiving data from the reference station via
your cell phone, please see steps earlier in this document for how to get
data streaming to your ISX receiver. Data should be transferred to the ISX
at this time from your cell phone.
Select Survey | Store Points and you should see a solution type of FIXED OR
FLOAT. If it says, “Autonomous” then something is not working right and
see earlier steps to possibly identify the fault.
NOTE: Under no circumstances when using the “Bluetooth Cell” option should
you use “Bluetooth” as connection method under the EQUIP | GPS Rover |
COMMS tab. It should always remain “Serial”.
You may wish to set the device as a favorite. On the Allegro CX’s taskbar,
you can right click on the blue icon and select Advanced Features |
Bluetooth Devices. Here, you can set a favorite using Tools | My
Favorites.
