I upgraded my computer to Vista. Using C&G 9, Explorer/SurvCE 2.0, on a serial cable. Of course, I can no longer get C&G to communicate with the DC command. Any ideas, anyone?

Also would it be better to get a bluetooth card for the computer and transfer that way?

please check your Data Collector control panel settings for conflicts. click on PC Connections make sure its PC-115K & not on something else.

Make sure the baud rate on DC & on the PC match.

If you have been using Microsoft Active Sync - that utility could be campturing the port on the computer and will not share it with other utilities or programs.you must deactivate this program properly before trying again. Make sure there is a RED X show it has been disabled.


You can use a PCMA card to copy/paste files but will need to convert the Carlson crd to a C&G crd file format.
