SurvCE crash

Postby SamBeasley » Sat Jan 25, 2014 7:31 am

Hi,
I am using SurvCE 2.62 on Allegro CX with a Sokkia SRX.
Everything has been working fine till yesterday.
I setup the SRX in equip and it connects fine.

When I go to Store Points as soon as it starts to track it crashes out to Allegro desktop.

If I turn robotic mode off in equip I can get into store points and the side buttons work fine.
As soon as I measure or some other buttons SurvCE locks up.
I have had a couple of fatal error messages with SurvCE also come up after a while.

I have downloaded 2.62 for Allegro CX so I can reinstall SurvCE.
Is this the best thing to do?
I have a serial cable for the Allegro only.

The laptops only have USB ports.
Can I buy a serial to USB converter to use to reinstall SurvCE using activesync with the serial cable?

Look forward to your reply.

Belkin makes a USB Serial port adapter. I bought one a few years ago and haven't had a problem with it.
