RT4 Audible Prompts

The audible prompts have disappeared in one of our RT4s running SurvPC 6. The fixed/float and ding when accepting a shot no longer happen. Is there a toggle that may have got turned off? Our guys say it stopped working when they had to do a hard reset of the RT4 after it froze in the rain.
Also, why do these suck so bad in the rain and snow?
