"INVALID RESPONSE FROM RECEIVER"???

Postby tstrickland » Mon Mar 03, 2008 10:34 pm

I'm using Topcon Hiper Lite +, newly installed firmware 3.2, and SurvCE 2.03 on an Allegro CX. I'm getting the "INVALID RESPONSE FROM RECEIVER" message from my base receiver when averaging an autonomous position about half the time. For example, I only get about 26 positions out of 60 at the 1hz rate. This started after loading the newer firmware.

Is this a firmware bug, or another (maybe bluetooth) problem? Anyone have any suggestions? I can't tell any difference communicating with the rover, appears to be OK.
thanks,
terry

It's the Firmware

Well, I tried averaging 60 autonomous positions with the Cable hooked to the base receiver, and only got 3 out of 60!! The rest were "invalid response from receiver", same as with the bluetooth. I am pretty confident it is something to do with the 3.2 firmware.
fwiw,
terry
edit: Just received a reply from a TDS user on the Topcon board. They have experienced the same thing with the 3.2 firmware, so it's a definite bug there.
