Log Raw GPS Issue

Postby MMFilus » Fri Jan 09, 2009 4:43 pm

HiPER Lite + Receiver 3.3.4 fw - Running External Power
Carlson 600+ SurvCE 2.08 fw - Blutooth connection

Randomly, when attempting to utilize Log Raw GPS, I get the message:

"could not determine current terminal port. please try again."

The controller cannot read the memory, but will allow a file to be opened and closed, but not viewed. I will have a connection (bluetooth) to the receiver and all other functionality is there. I have tried a hard cable with the same results. Power is not an issue on the receiver. Could it be the power status on the controller? Been running in about 20°F, charging the unit between setups.

Anyone else run into this?

Thanks,

Matt in Wisconsin

Matt,
Sounds like it might be an Explorer issue. I use an Allegro with same equipment, and have never got this message, although I often use the MINTER to log static files.

Also, there is a Topcon bluetooth firmware update available bt_hggdt_013p1 that I recently installed. My hipers are about 2 years old, and had the bt_hggt_013 firmware on them, don't know if this would make a difference or not.
