Creating points on proposed contour for stakeout

I'm working on a project that requires me to create points along proposed contour lines in Carlson, then be able to take the points into a data collector to stakeout the points in the field. What I've tried so far leaves me with thousands of points. Is there anyway to set up a 50 foot grid off of a CL and have Carlson figure it out for me? Or does anyone know of a better way to do this? I'd really not enjoy creating individual points myself due to the 100+ acres I'm dealing with. I've broken the plans into sections of probably 7 - 8 acres, but am still in the thousands. Thanks for any help.

Which Carlson are you running and I can let you know where to go from there. Also do you want the points on the contours or on a grid? In all softwares in the COGO we have interpolate points-interval along entity and you could use this to put points every 50' down a contour. If you want a grid, its more complicated and depends on the software as to what command to use.
