Removing Contour Labels

I am a new user to Carlson and can't find a command to remove contour labels without first going through the process of turning on the wipeout frames, then deleting both the frame and text, and finally turning the wipeout frame off. Does anyone know of an easier way to remove contour labels in Carlson? Thanks!

This is a new feature of 2009. You will have erase contour labels which will take wipeout too.

And prior to the 2009 option, if you have set the labels to draw on their own dedicated layer (i.e., nothing else on that layer), then just do an EDIT/ERASE BY LAYER command and pick one of the labels. Then everything on that layer -- wipeouts included -- will go away with a single click.
