I forgot how to type the degree symbol? Can any body help? Thanks

Hold down the alt key and type 248 on the numeric key pad.

Using the alt key.... will depend on the character set (font ) you are using. I use mainly Veranda font and the degree symbol is alt 0176. You can access these codes by going to windows/accessories/system tools/character map. Select your font then move the cursor over the various characters to the one you require. When highlighted, on the bottom right of the screen the keystroke will appear. Some don't have keystrokes but have unicodes. They can be accessed but I cannot remember exactly how they are invoked. Most of the characters are covered by the alt key.
