I am confused over toolbars, .mn* files,profiles, support file paths etc. I made numerous custom toolbars. I set my profile in the startup config.I exported my profile just in case.

When I start Carlson 2010 I do not have my custom toolbars. I have to import the profile and I am fine.

I do a search for .mn* and they are everywhere.

Which toolbars are read in when you start?

i'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong here, but my experience, since we've moved to Carlson from LDD is that profiles are pretty much useless. You want to save a workspace with the toolbars you want and pull downs...etc. Type cui or bring on the workspace tool bar, click in the pull down hit customize. Make sure to save what you do as a new workspace, then after you've got it where you want, i would make a back up of your workspace .cui file. good luck...

I am not familiar with workspace. I type cui and nothing happens.
