Here is an idea for your software folks. A useful utility is the "Copy / Merge CRD File" command located in the Coordinate File Utilities. It would save a lot of time if this command could access the the CRD files directly from / to the Data Collector.

That would be welcome addition. I would like to see it include a orderly means of creating backups and copies of work. The existing data collector transfer is very clumsy and primitive.

I like to keep a progressive collection of field data, so that the clear record of each days work is stored with the the most current and valid file being the one used in the PC. When I previously used Windows Hyper Terminal to download it would automatically save the existing file with the same root name + a numeral. This created a handy history of work.With the existing CE data transfer I have to do all that copying and backup manually through windows.
