CARLSON 2012 DRAW ORDER

Postby monksjm » Tue Oct 04, 2011 11:40 am

My draworder commands for Bring Above Object and Send Under Object do not work. Can this be fixed ASAP?

This doesn't sound like a Carlson issue.

Have you checked to see what your DRAWORDERCTL is set to?

worked like a charm in 2011 on same autocad base...installed 2012 today and the two commands don't work.

Hmmm.... I'm running the 2012 version and have no troubles with it.

I am running it on 2012 AutoCAD SP1 though.

I'm assuming you are using toolbars to click the command. Have you tried executing the command from the keyboard? Try typing ._draworder and see if that works.

If it does there could be a problem with the CUI.

pull-down's not toolbars.

I'll give it a try...but just odd that it worked with 2011 and not 2012

Ahhh... now that was a handy piece of information to know.

I tried using my pulldown for the two commands and I get the same result.

Oddly I opened Carlson 2011 and it doesn't work for me there either.

It does appear to be a Carlson issue because the command DRAWORDERA is a subroutine and not a native AutoCAD command.

You should report this to Customer Support if you want them to get on it quickly. Sometimes they don't check these boards for weeks.

In the meantime I would suggest either activating the Draw Order toolbar and using that or if you are handy with the CUI editor you can copy and paste the following macro to the Menus -> Display Order -> Bring Above Object section of the CUI

^C^C^P_ai_draworder _Above ^P

For Menus -> Display Order -> Send Under Object you will need to add this macro.

^C^C^P_ai_draworder _Under ^P
