Editing in paper space, everything disappears

This seems like a strange problem. When I edit text or pretty much anything else in paperspace, after I finish the command, everything disappears. If I scroll or zoom, it all comes back. Does anyone know why?
Running Civil 2012, ICAD 6.6.

It happens to me too! I would like to know how to stop it.

Please go to Help>About Carlson and report the build you are running from the first line of text. Thank you.

This is a "user based" forum and not regularly monitored my Carlson Software. We typically do not post responses here. For better record keeping, please copy your question along with the version of software you are running and any files (if necessary) and send it to

Thank you.

I'm also running build 111103. Since there are two of us with the same problem, it would be nice to have the answer on the forum, but I'll email it as well.

Sounds like a video card issue.

Thanks....I checked that and it still happens. About 5% of the drawing is visible, e.g. arrowhead with no line, text. When I zoom in or out everything returns.
This computer was recommended by our IT guy and he understood the importance of having something suitable for cad.

Most IT guys don't know diddly about CAD computers. They can set up an awesome gaming computer, but CAD leaves them guessing. If they did not recommend at least a Dell Precision, then you need a new IT guy.

This is a problem in Intellicad. We run Carlson Field on our data collectors which is an Intellicade based package now and the line work winks out in the point collection routine. Evidently this is a problem somewhere in the basic Intellicad program.

I have been told by Carlson that most of the issues I am having with 2012 and intellicad 6.6 is because of the intellicad version, so I switched to icad 7 and no problems thereafter
