Update to Carlson 2013 Survey from 2007

I am starting a class on Autocad 2013 and hope to upgrade to Carlson StandAlone 2013 in the next six months. Can anyone tell me what to look for on my computer to see if it will qualify for 2013. My computer is about 4-5 years old. Thanks.

You should be OK. New stuff works on XP and Windows 7 without any problems. As with any cad program you will want to max out on RAM, DRAM, or whatever.
Also, to help with the class, I would suggest you go to Cadapult.com and get a copy of the Carlson Survey 2013 manual. Lots of good info in the book. Best $70 I have spent in a while. Gives insight into the AutoCad and Intellicad versions.
