Selection set?

Postby Streek » Thu Nov 08, 2012 4:41 pm

Hi All,
I'm brand new to Carlson Survey 2013, coming from acad 14.

I can't find any help on selection sets.

How do you create selection sets?

In acad14, I used SSX.LSP, it was slick.
Is there any equivalent commend in Carlson?

Look under the EDIT-->SELECTION SET menu and you'll find several handy options for creating selection sets but all you have to do is load the SSX.LSP and it still works fine with 2013.

Thanks R,

But I get the dreaded: "LiSP command is not available"

(Carlson Survey 2013, embedded), I was told that there would be no lisps. (Major problem for me)

SO, I tried playing with the SELECT BY FILTER command, this does nothing and the HELP doesn't work.

With SSX I could build selection sets based on color, layer, entity type etc., it looks like SELECT BY FILTER wants to do this, but it just pick eveything.

With no help or manuals, I'm dead in the water.

You are getting this message because the SSX.LSP has not been loaded. Your R14 was probably loading it in the ACAD.LSP file that loaded at startup. 2013 uses an ACADDOC.LSP to load LSP programs.

If you do a search on your harddrive for SSX.LSP you will probably find a path that could be added to the ACADDOC.LSP to load the program.

You suppose he is running Carlson with Embedded AutoCAD? If so, no LISP will do him any good. :(
