New Desktop Computer Suggestions?

I am looking at a new computer. I'll be running Carlson Civil Suite with Intellicad for now, and possibly Autocad, depending...
Anyone have any suggestions? Must haves? I guess operating system will have to be Windows 8.

I think you can still get Windows 7 on Dell computers if you request it.
I'd go with any of the Dell Precision workstations. I have had VERY good luck with them. I'd go 64bit and max out all my ram and go with an NVIDIA graphics card. At least a 1TB hard drive and their awesom 24" monitor.
Such a system will not be cheap, but it will servey you well. (My office computer is a 9 year old Dell Pecision 390 with a Core 2 Duo processor and it is still crunkin' away just fine. The Precision series of workstations are built to last.)
