Changing Sounds in SurvPC

We recently purchased new Carlson Supervisor data collectors with a Windows 7 operating system. The problem is that the default sounds that occur while in SurvPC are hardly audible. Even with the volume up all the way we can't hear the sounds that make it very helpful, when losing lock for example. Changing the default sounds in Control Panel doesn't change the sounds when using SurvPC. Has anyone figured out how to change the sounds in SurvPC? Thanks for the help.
