Old DOS C&G on laptop

Postby just_me1962 » Sat May 03, 2008 1:36 am

I'm currently running Carlson Survey Standalone demo version on my desktop. I'm very impressed and would like to use my old DOS version on my field laptop until I and my crew chief gets used to the new program before we purchase it. I have an IBM Thinkpad T42 but the Sentinel doesn't recognize the parallel Port on my PCMIA card. Any help would be appreciated (ie settings, etc.) Thanks

most impressed with Carlson Standalone.

Old CGDOS & Hardware lock

Postby bwilson » Thu May 08, 2008 8:58 pm

Hello,

This Old DOS program needs a Parallel Port for the Hardware lock to mount and a Sentinel system driver to be installed.

We no longer sell the locks nor support this Dos program; however, we have CGSurvey9 program that does have the CGSURVEY for Dos without the need for a hardware lock - all registration is done by internet.

The only other idea - is down load the driver from the Safenet FKA Rainbow technologies and hope it recognizes this lock.

best wishes,

I just want to say thanks, as I used to have the same question. Now I've got your answer already. It's cool, thanks again.
