Raster Images: C&G for AutoCAD 14 & IntelliCAD 98 users

If you are using C&G for IntelliCAD and you also have AutoCAD 14 around give this a try and let us know what you think.

We all know that IntelliCAD 98 does not support raster images without 3rd party software, but, we recently had a call with someone who has had some luck with images in IntelliCAD using AutoCAD 14.

1) In AutoCAD 14 create a drawing with an inserted raster image in it and save the drawing and close out AutoCAD14.
2) In IntelliCAD 98 open the drawing file that you created in AutoCAD.

You should be able to see and work with the image ( scale, draw over and change the layer that the image is located on ). Not only that when you go to plot/print the file the image will show up on the paper.

It worked here in technical support with both a .tif and .bmp file on our HP laser printer. Give it a try and see if you have the same results for those of you that have both AutoCAD and IntelliCAD.
