Cut and Copy

I have been having some problems with a cut and copy today. I am trying to cut in one file and copy into another file. The first try worked fine except that we had a polyline defined for a road right of way that was not selected the first time. So, we went back and selected the polyline and tried to cut it. When we did, we got Intellicad error box. "Failed to create a compatible clipboard format."

Any ideas
