Start-up Font Issue

Postby Jonathan C. Lang » Thu Apr 14, 2005 8:57 pm

I'm getting the following message on the command line at start-up:

Substituting [simplex.shx] for [Monospac821 BT].
Regenerating model.

Loading CGSudoc
Loading cg2000a
Font not available.0.000000
*Cancel*

1.000000
*Cancel*

Then it stops and I need to click in the command line and press ESC to
continue (although I'm not prompted to do this). Then I get:

CGSurvey 7 Version 7.0.0.36 loaded.
Copyright 2004 by C&G Software Systems, a division of Carlson Software, Inc.

Loading csstart
Loading surv1

The program seems to run fine and I don't have any problems with any
fonts that I've noticed but I'm not the type to just accept it and move
in. I have done the "repair" option from the install menu and nothing
changes.

Please advise.

Jon,
I sounds like you thon have on Monospac821 BT your machine. Have you
seen it in the list of available fonts when you format a textstyle?

John -

The only "mono" fonts I have listed are monotxt.shx and Monotype Corsiva.

I did an F3 search of my computer for "monospac" and got "Search is
complete. There are no results to display."

Short of finding somewhere then loading the missing font, you could change
the font once the "start" drawing (drawing1) opens to something you have,
then save it back as the default template drawing.
