Multiple Offset

Postby Jonathan C. Lang » Fri May 06, 2005 4:38 am

Is there a way to do a multiple offset (example: drawing steps they are
usually 0.9' apart and there are 8 to 10 of them). Is there a quick and
easy way to do a multiple offset?

I found an add-in for ACAD at (http://www.caddee.com/qoffset.html) that
does it but I don't know where to put it to work with C&G.

Can anybody offer any help/suggestions? Maybe a multiple offset command
in future releases (put that on the wishlist, John).

I'm pretty sure that C&G is built on AutoCAD OEM, which doesn't allow
any 3rd party add-ons.

I don't remember the proper name for this tool, but in Carlson Survey,
there is a routine whose purpose is to create ROW lines, paving,
sidewalks, etc. from a centerline alignment - by doing a multiple offset
of said alignment. I'm not sure if this tool is in C&G though.

Jon,
Like Randy said, CG7 is an OEM product and does not support add-ons,
and he was also correct that we don't yet have the multiple offset tool that
is in Carlson Survey. I still just use the offset command repeatedly.

Draw your first line then use the array command in acad (1 row 10 colums) or
(10 rows 1 column).

A basic function for acad user.

Don't forget the angle (line angle for 10 rows 1 column and perpendicular
line angle for 10 columns and 1 row)
