Barkley,
The Point Code is an additional sorting solution. For instance, you
can choose a code of WL to indicate any points related to a water line.
Descriptions might include Fire Hydrant, Water Line, Water Valve, etc.
Plotting points by code allows you quickly separate all the "Water Line"
points by choosing the WL code. We also used it for quickly creating point
groups for adjoining deeds, and control points.
