maximum points in a cgc file

Can anyone tell me the most amount of alphanumeric points you can put into
cg survey 7 or cg survey for autocad without the whole thing bogging down so
bad. We have jobs that can be up to 40k points or more (topo, wetlands,
etc) in the same job and I am used to CG so would like it but only if it
will actually handle that amount of points without a problem.

Thanks for your help.

There are a couple of factors involved here which most likely can be
attributed to the new API /Alpha-Numeric Type points, but we have only
tested up to 10,000 points, reducing raw into CRD and running COGO routines.
Yes, we did see some sluggishness.

Question: What routines are you see significant sag? Panning or Zooming? It
could be virtual memory. Please send your drawing and CRD files to us so
that we may do some further tests. And tell us about your computer --
processing speed, amount of RAM, video card, memory, hard drive space, etc..
These are the other factors that can bog down your computer.

I do not have any drawings yet, just trying to get CG Survey approved by my
supervisors for me to work from. They approved me to try the Demo, and I
love it, have used CG for years so that is not a real surprise. I am
thinking the CG survey for windows since I am running LDD at work currently.
