Hardware Lock not found

Postby Richard Henline » Thu Sep 13, 2001 5:27 pm

There are several things we can try to get the hardware lock to be read.

1. Attach the hardware lock. (Don’t over look the obvious)
2. For windows NT and 2000 you need to install the sentinel drivers (see link below)
3. Set you parallel port mode to ECP, EPP or ECP/EPP. (See your computer manuals)
4. Some customers were sent a floppy disk with a .dat file and the blockfix, blockwrite and blockcheck utilities. If this is the case you will need to go through that same process again.
5. The hardware lock might be bad. If you have access to another computer tray it on the other computer first.
6. Your parallel port might be blown, remove the block and try printing something to a printer attached to the parallel port.
7. Take the block off and turn it clockwise seven times then counter clockwise five times and clockwise ten times this will unlock the code. (Just Kidding)<br
