My wife was telling me a story of a surveyor on Manhattan Island who watched the second plane hit the World Trade Center through his “thingy”. I also heard a reporter say that surveyors were watching some others buildings with their “spyglasses”. To make things even worse they reported that the surveyors were using a building for a reference that was knocked off kilter and they were therefore getting false readings on the buildings they were watching. So little knowledge about our profession could be a dangerous thing!
