Troubles transferring with SMI

I tried to upload a large coordinate file (4000+pts) into our SMI/48gx and CG always aborted when SMI was packing and saving. Ended up having to send smaller groups of points, which took a while. Any fix for this?

BTW, when will CG be able to communicate with SMI version 6 or 7? I've not upgraded because I would rather be able to transfer directly to/from CG

I dont know of a direct fix to the timeout caused by the packing in SMI, I do think Dean is talking with SMI about transfering the later versions of SMI.
Best fix for the situation is most likly A C&G data collector in your possesion, I'm kidding
