Metric Scales

Having trouble working with metric scales (clients request), particularly plotting. Any tips

Jeff, In C&G the drawing scale is meter per meter and the print scale is millimeters per meter so if you have a drawing scale of 4000 m per meter you plotting scale have to be 1mm = 4 meters. I have tried several metric drawings with limited success and I haven't found any where to get any help on this, so if anyone else can help it would be helpful

If it's AutoCAD, I plot with my paper set in millimeters, and my scale 1000mm = 400m (or whatever your scale is) and I have had fairly good success.

At 1:1000 scale, the print box should show printed mm to be 1 and drawing units to be 1. Make sure the paper size is set to mm.
For 1:250, printed mm =1 and drawing unit=0.25,
for 1:500, printed mm =1 and drawing unit=0.50
