TDS CREATE AN ASTERIK HELP TDS USERS!

HEY GUYS BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE I USED A TDS UNIT ANDF I RECALL THAT YOU NEED TO DO TWO TIMES IN ORDER TO CREATE AN ASTERIK IN THE RAW DATA FILE? THIS DOES NOT SEEM TO BE WORKING HOW DO YOU TDS WORKERS GET THAT ASTERIK

If you are using the C&G description table you can use a description code to define the description. For using C&G Mapping Code commands like "BL*". I simple assign "71" in the C&G description table as BL*. This allows you to use a HP48 that has no *.

We dicussed this years ago. The only way I found to get the asterik into the code was to set up your code table with a number representing the BL* code.... 101 = BL* then when you bring your points into the desktop it assigns it the BL* cod

Jeff,
I've been using numbers for the map codes and everything been working great. On my first post about this I said that I couldn't get coordinates with asterisks to transfer back to my data collector. Well, I was wrong about that. The moons and stars lined up perfectly allowing me to finally complete that transfer. Thanks for your help with this (and you other guys who responded).<br
