Mouse Driver

Postby Robert C. Hutton PLS » Mon Mar 18, 2002 4:54 pm

I am running CG Survey for DOS wersion 4.41.15 and have lost my mouse control in the peration of the program. My PC is Windows 98 based system with no DOS cersion.

All other aspects of the program work except the mouse conrol of the cursor. I currently can only use the arrow keys to move the cursor. The digitizer selected is the mouse driver/ pointing devise - 4 button/ digitizer port - comm 1/ parity-none / word size-

Find and install a mouse driver floppy. Reboot your computer and you should be good to go. I have found that most any mouse driver will run the mouse, so just find an old one around the office and install it

Jeff,

That did not appear to work for the mouse driver. The mouse works in all other programs except C&G.I don't know if it is a C&G internal setting or not. I reinstalled C&G again, but did not change.

Any other suggestions?

Bob the only mouse setting we have is on the F4 screen and is d for digitizer selected. If you have the right com port there it should work if a dos driver is available. I would suspect a comport setting is wrong as you cannot access the mouse in winodws shell or in a true dos correct

I have tried all comports but no luck. I will attempt to reinstall a true dos as soon as I find a copy
