Stupid question here. We just upgraded our old dos systems (233 processors)to Win98 to network our computers. Now the SMI cannot dump to the computers but can recieve. Have managed a workaround by changing boot in MSDOS.SYS, but would like to stay in 98 for network support (copying files and backing up, etc.) Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know how to fix it? Any help would be appreciated as I am a hardware guy not a software guy

You need to boot in dos mode to enable two dos programs to communicate. There is a tech doc telling you basically how to create an icon which will stall windows for the transfer. Look under the documents for our dos program on this site
