Win2000/ C&G(dos)

I recently have upgraded to a Dell Latitude (laptop)
Windows 2000
523736 KB ram
I use a docking station with a Sony Trinitron Monitor.
When I use C&G (dos), the Sony monitor shuts down and displays the message that the signal is out of range. The only way I can work is to run both monitors, because the laptop monitor continues to work,though it's screen flickers terribly and the program runs very slowly
