Ray,
I have been teaching thoses classes and would be gald to come to Texas, Lousianna, or for that matter, most anyplace. The key is to get together enough folks and computers to make it a worthwhile thing for me to travel that far.
Given that length of travel (I am based in the North Carolina Mountains), I would recommend at least a two day class. Three might not be a bad idea and with that amount of time I am sure we could really get new users a good solid start on the Windows product.
Get together with some of your fellow C. & G. users and give me a call at (336) 246-4887. If you don't get me on the phone, just leave a message. Just like you folks I am an on the ground and in the field lots of days surveyor.
