profile error message

When I start my computer I get a message saying that "windows can't load your profile because it may be corrupt." Then another pop up windows appears saying that it is creating a temp profile that will not be saved when I shut down. I can't access Outlook Express and I can access IE. I have to create a new account if I want to send/receive my mail. My OS is Windows XP/Home and IE and Outlook is Version 6.0. Any direction on where to solve this problem will be appriciated.
