The group seems quite.

In an effort to make sure it isn't a problem with me receiving the
messages I am posting this helpful tip.

One great tool I have found sorta hidden down deep in Intellicad is the
Time command.

At your command prompt, type---- time
This will show you how much time has been spent editing the current
drawing.
You can reset the timer to 0, you can pause the timer, and you can
restart the timer.

One thing to make sure of is to reset the timer of your prototype
drawing to 0. Unless you do this, every time you start a new drawing
from the prototype, it inherits the edit time of the prototype.

Hope this works and we can generate some activity here.

Yea, TIME is an old command that has been around since AutoCAD's inception. Be careful, don't assume that this information is reliable though. You can easily insert a drawing into a new empty drawing to reset the date created, etc.

In other words, you wouldn't want to write a program that uses this information for billing purposes or to figure a time sheet for employees.

Randall, thanks for that follow up. Is there a way I can go into my library of blocks and reset the edit time on them so that when I insert them they do not bring time with them. Using this command to help with billing clients is
exactly what I had hoped to do.
