cursor missing

I installed C&G for windows (98) in a new computer running Windows XP. I
cannot find out how to get the crosshairs of my cursor to show on the
screen. Whenever you do any CAD command it disappears in the drawing area.
Where is the settings for the cursor to turn it back on?
