Missing Cursor

I have seen several post asking about the missing cursor in Windows XP but I
have not seen any infromation on how to fix the problem. I am having the
same or similar problem. The cursor seem to be a flickering dashed line in
the vertical position and and the horizontal line flickers intermitaly
making is impossible to pick on a point or a line. Someone please help!

Found the fix for the missing cursor problem: If you are having the same
problem please try this solution:
Go to Start>control panel>press the display icon>press the settings
tab>press the Advanced Button>press the troubleshooting tab: This will show
you the Hardware Acceleration slide bar. I had to move the slide all the
way to the none position. This works for the Athlon XP 2000+ processor
running at 1.8 ghz with a 256 DDr and 64 MB video card. You may have to
play with your system to find out what your settings might be.
