The progression I have see is like this:
Text insertion with CG Dos: Excellent. you could insert a file without
incident and manipulate the text at will once it was inserted.
With Intelicad 98: Fair/Good. You could insert text. The ability to
manipulate once inserted was limited. Insertion was generally (I stress the
generally) predictable. Sometimes the text would disappear on print preview
and I would have to "tickle" the CG settings layer to make it come back and
print.
With Intelicad 2001: Poor. Text insertion is very unmanageable and
unpredictable. Cut and paste commands that worked with Icad 98 no longer
work. Regarding manipulating the text: either procedures that worked with
Icad 98 don't work or I have yet to figure out the new commands.
This has been my experience. I would prefer that I am simply not versed in
the software and that text insertion is greatly enhanced instead of crippled
as it appears to be. Someone, please, set me straight!

For some reason I have to put in two spaces between words or all my text
shows up as one long word. It doesn't seem to matter which font I use.
Anyone have any solutions to this problem?
