Icad98 Ver.5.10.13 - First topo........

All seemed to be going well - we created a points file with only the needed
points as the books says; drew the break lines; we had contours and a TIN
network; we drew an "include" boundary around the portion that we wanted
thinking this would cut off the unwanted contour lines that reached too far
off the property - everything was just as the book said it would be except -
the "swap triangles" and "process boundaries" options were not highlighted
and thus could not be chosen. What can the problems be? As far as swapping
triangles is concerned, is their use explained or do we just need to
experiment - AKA live and learn? Also, when first setting up the new
surface we have three options for "curve fit type" - no fit, fit, and C&G
spline. Where is it explained the differences and/or the benifits of using
one or the other? We chose for this topo the C&G spline option but when the
contours came on the screen (as the break lines were being drawn) they
appeared to be very sharpely angled - not smoothed as expected. When does
the smoothing take place? Thank you for your time.
