C&G DOS and SMI V7 .RAW file reduction problem

We are using the SMI Transfer98 program to transfer into the computor. When
we try to open the .RAW file the program crashes. SMI V5 opens and reduces
fine, of course. I believe SMI changed their .RAW file format a while back
and this must be the problem. Has anybody dealt with this and how did you
solve the problem? Thanks in advance.
