Intellicat to Autocad

Postby John Lester » Wed Aug 13, 2003 12:13 am

I have a client that says he can't save drawings I send him created in
Intellicad 2001 with his Autocad 2002 without crashing. It doesn't happen
every time but apparently often enough. Can anyone help? He's very upset.

John,
Can you give me a little more info on this one? What happens when he
tries to save?

The client tells me that after opening the drawing through his email he
can't save them to his hard drive without a 50% crash rate. I don't know if
he has tried saving them before opening them.

Is he trying to open the drawing directly from the email program? That would explain it.
Try sending him a ZIP file containing the drawing. Then instruct your client to unzip the file to his hard disk - then open it in his CAD program. The reason for the ZIP file is I have seen some mail servers/clients add or remove a byte from certain attachments. If the ZIP file opens on the other end, you can be assured that the contents are valid.
