Recon Help dumping

Postby joeschmo » Tue Nov 25, 2003 6:48 pm

Hello! I've just bought the Recon with SurveyPro 3.8 anyone have any advice
on dumping from the Recon into C&G for AutoCad directly. I can export as an
ascii file and then import into C&G. Trying to eliminate this step and dump
directly.

Thanks.

Joe,
. The transfer is pretty easy, all in all, but there are a few things
that can make your transfer not work.
1)Make sure ActiveSync, SurveyLink, or HotSync or any other Windows CE
transfer softwares are disabled. You'll need to go to the transfer set-up
menu in those programs and indicate that you do not wish to assign your com
port to that program.
2)On the Recon, be sure to choose serial port rather than USB as preferred
port and indicate that you're transferring to HP48.
3)In CG for AutoCad, in the Data Collector Transfer Routine, choose
TDS48/FS2 and make sure to very your connection settings by pressing the SET
RECOMMENDED button.
You should be able to transfer with no problems.
If you still can't transfer, give me a call.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll give it a go later and post my results.
