3D intersections

Postby Dan Lindsey » Sun Jan 11, 2004 11:57 pm

Does anyone know of a way in C&G DOS and/or Windows to compute the xyz
position of a remote point using horizontal and vertical angles?

Would like to collect the data electronically and use the raw data programs

Thanks

Dan,
The x,y is easy. Just use the angle resection routine to compute the
position of the remote point. From there, you have the horizontal distance
and a zenith angle. It's not automatic, but you can compute the z position
of the remote point with that information.
