Labeling Contour Lines

Running CnG V15, in Acad2002, with Windows 2000 Pro, and when I try to
select a contour line for labeling, it does not see the line, or apply a
label. I have the crd and tin files open, that are needed for this drawing.
Any help would be appreciated.
