HI Plotter

[CG Survey]

I tried to plot my first drawing from CG Windows to our Houston Instruments
HI Plotter. It took me a couple of tries, but I got all of the pen sizes,
and other "variables" working correctly.

Now I just have one HUGE problem. It takes all day to plot a drawing!

It acts like it is trying to "feather" in every last pixel. Instead of just
treating a bearing like text, it sits and works the pen back and forth like
an artist trying to fill in the spaces -- does that make sense?

What in the heck is going on???

I thought there was a button on the plotter for draft modes .QUick draft
mode.if these setting are not located on plotter try looking in the plot
routine dialog box for fill styles - like object fill, solid, crosshatch
etc... one lst thing - there is a setting called SCREENING which allows the
% of ink applied on paper to be used. try setting this to 75%.

The plotter in interpreting the line width, I have had this problem.
MAke sure you set the line widths to the metric / inch equivelent if the pen is
the right width it will draw it in one pass. if you use a .35 mm pen make all
line work multiples of that width.
