I was under the (mistaken) impression that you work for Carlson support, my
bad, I apologize. As for the, for lack of a better description,
"cross-linking" of the software platforms; our instance happened at times
when one of our users was running SurvCAD and then attempted to start a
session of LDT (LDD), then as LDT (LDD) was opening tried, to no avail, to
stop the start up (repeatedly pressing the "ESC" key). Afterwards, but not
always LDT (LDD) would become dominant and the user would be locked out of
multiple drawing sessions. We tracked down some components of this fault to
the profile and tried re-importing a clean/default profile and this fixed
the issue. This would be my two cents.
Peace

Greetings,
What I gave was a *real* answer to the problem "WE" encountered, and
"YES"
we were running LDT 2003 and Map simultaneously and re-inmporting the
..arg
file from the network install MSI did fix the issue. Problems can not
always be so "black and white" as if to say "well we run both programs
and
we don't have that problem". With software and hardware, there are a
multitude of interactions and configurations that occur. From a support
stand point one whom owns the product should not shoot a messenger who
might
offer insight into issues not yet seen.
Sorry for your misinterpretation.
You said ---> "It seems Map and LDD get confused when if by
chance they where running at the same time."
My reply was simply stating that --> running LDT and MAP at the same
time does not "by itself" *cause* the profiles to get mixed up. It may
have something to do with it. But again, I run 2 or 3 sessions of
LDT/MAP all day long (and have for the last 18 months) and have never
had "Map and LDD get confused"
As far as the part about *real* answers, I was not referring to your
post, but rather stating that the original poster should re-contact his
support outlet and re-examine the problem until it is solved. This forum
is peer-to-peer help and it sounds like his problem is still not resolved.
You will have to explain your last sentence. It doesn't make sense to
me.....
"...one whom owns the product..."?
