Best Fit Arc

Postby mark baker » Tue Feb 11, 2014 7:12 pm

In 2007 StandAlone when I chose Best Fit Arc it would hold the endpoints, but in 2013 it changes the endpoints. How do I hold the endpoints (no change) and calculate the radius of the curve using the cl poc's between the endpoints? Thanks.

DRAW - ARC - BEST FIT CURVE

The end points must existing and be points.
Then if you have at least 3 points along your "proposed" arc, it will prompt for them, after the 2 end points.

It then holds the end points and adjusts the arc to best fit.

Thanks. That is the way my 07 worked but with 2013 it draws the best fit arc but does not hold the endpoints which are coordinate points. I may have a setting wrong.

Very Strange.

Now I go into the SAME file and it does what you describe, and I can't get it to work the other way again.

I must have messed up the same setting you did!

I checked with tech support and that feature is not offered in 2013. Programming is going to add that feature in 2015.
