Symbols with text

We want to use symbols with text when we do our F2F to cut down on the
time in labeling the drawing. Is there a way to have the text scaled to
propoer hieght for the particular scale drawing that is being done? ie.
if we are F2F on an 8" tree at 20 scale, the tree symbol comes in sized
with text '8" Tree' at a hieght of 1.6. Any help would be appreciated
with this.
