Export to SURVCadd Survey? format

Postby ard » Thu Dec 25, 2003 6:02 am

We need to submit an ascii format to a client in SurvCadd format. The
requested format is: ptid Easting Northing Elev Code.

Our concern is with regard to the control codes and how survCADD treat these
codes:

All of our surveys are based on SDR/Trimble type control codes.

Eg. For our current file; we have the following:

Case1

ST for start of line (no need for END code), eg. ROADEDGE ST

NEWCV for line that starts on curve, eg ROADEDGE NEWCV

RECT: to generate corner point, based on previous 3 points of the same code.

Case 2

Dual or triple code for 1 point; eg ROADEDGE EP, RE EP GR etc etc

Case 3

Code that have attributes

Eg TREE SIZE 3 (Suppose to draw tree symbol at 3m diameter)

TIA

Regards,

Ard

p.s We do not have Survcadd to play around with & and at this point do not
want to go and ask the client yet..
